Lamborghini revealed its new Reventon supercar at the Frankfurt auto show in 2007 and a week later in the U.S. at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car will cost nearly $3 million - significantly above the Murcielago $380,000 . In fact, anyone who wants the car has been asked to put down a deposit of nearly that amount. Getting the Reventon supercar may even be impossible as only 20 Reventons will be built. Eleven of the 20 cars will be sold at the U.S.
The engine hood made of glass laminate with open ventilation slits offering a glimpse at the large 6.5-liter engine. The Reventon delivers 650 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque which is very significant compared to our normal cars. The daytime running lights consists of seven LEDs per side and a further nine LEDs for the indicator and hazard lights. The taillights are also strong LED-based lights.
An interesting fact is that the Reventon is said to be inspired by the fastest airplanes on Earth such as the F-22 Raptor fighter jet and the Panavia Tornado fighter plane. Created using Alcantara, carbon fiber, aluminium and leather, the interior is inspired by airplanes cockpits. Three LCD screens feature a variety of readouts useful to the driver. The instruments are housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminium block, protected by a carbon fibre casing.
Some photos of the Lamborghini Reventón..
Now for the real test..
Lamborghini Reventón vs Tornado Jet Fighter
This test was to see which was faster - one of the world's most exclusive exotic sports car or jet-powered military hardware. It was a 3km race - combustion engine versus jet engine
The race was over in under a minute, and for most of the race, the Lamborghini Reventón was leading. If I was in the military I rather look at the Lamborghini Reventón than the Tornado..
While the Lamborghini
Reventón was leading at 250km/h, the Tornado Jet managed to catch up in the
last few metres, taking off and flying over the Reventón going at a speed of
over 340 km/h. It was a close match up between the Lamborghini Reventó and
the Tornado jet plane even though the jet plane won..

Just by looking at the pictures and videos of the Lamborghini Reventón can be a feast to the eye.. Oh.. How I wish I can get my hands on this supercar.. Even so, having a supercar like this may be more of a burden than fun in the current global reccession.. Haix.. Looks I have to buy a toyota instead...
P.S.I hope my post is useful to you..
